Powhatan's Festival of the Grape!

I just wanted to tell you how wonderful the Festival of the Grape was this past Saturday! (My husband won tickets to the Festival during a VA Farm Bureau golf tournament last spring). We had never been to Powhatan before and found it enchanting! We will return to sample the restaurants, etc. The Festival was terrific and we had a great time! I had an excellent time at your wine festival this past weekend. Hopefully next year the weather will be clear and I will not need to bring my umbrella. The bands sounded great and the line-up of participating wineries was very impressive. David from Henrico

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the Festival of the Grape event on Saturday. The rain did not stop my friends and I from attending; nor did it stop us last year. We look forward to the event and hope you will have it for many years to come. Not only is the wine tasting fun, but we enjoy Steve Bassett.

I just wanted to let you know that Donna and I thoroughly enjoyed the wine festival. So we had to dodge a few rain drops, it was fun. We saw several friends we hadn’t seen in some time. You and your staff are to be commended for the time and effort you spent putting this together. I’m sorry I didn’t see you there but I’m sure you were many places at the same time. Weather not withstanding, which none of us can do anything about, we had a great festival. Our change in set up, (taking two spaces), allowed us to work with customers even in the inclement conditions and we are already looking to make a few adjustments for 2010. Thanks for your efforts and the time, I'm sure, you devote to this event. These festivals do not happen by themselves and more often than not, I'm sure, you get hit with only the negative comments. We are impressed with your staffing and the ability, you and they, exhibit with the vendors. Again our appreciation for including us in Powhatan's big event and we look forward to next season.
